At Reverse Medical, we are committed to providing high-quality care and personalized treatment plans for our patients. However, there may be situations where treatment is discontinued, either at the patient's request or at our discretion. This guide outlines our treatment cancellation policy and the circumstances under which treatment may be terminated by Reverse Medical.

Patient-Initiated Cancellation

We understand that patients may choose to discontinue treatment for various reasons. If you wish to cancel your treatment plan, here is what you need to know:

  1. How to Cancel:

    • Notify our team in writing via email or a secure message through our patient portal.

    • Provide at least 14 days’ notice prior to your next scheduled appointment or prescription refill.

  2. Final Steps:

    • Ensure all outstanding balances are settled.

    • Complete any necessary documentation to finalize the cancellation.

    • Consult with your provider to discuss the potential health impacts of stopping treatment abruptly.

  3. Refund Policy:

    • Refunds for prepaid services or medication are subject to review and may not be available in all cases. Please refer to your service agreement for detailed terms.

Provider-Initiated Cancellation

Reverse Medical reserves the right to discontinue treatment under specific circumstances to ensure the safety and integrity of our practice. These situations include but are not limited to:

  1. Non-Compliance with Treatment Plans:

    • Failure to follow prescribed treatment regimens, such as missed doses, overuse of medication, or unapproved alterations to your plan.

  2. Failure to Communicate:

    • Consistent lack of communication or failure to respond to our attempts to reach you for appointments, lab results, or follow-ups.

  3. Unpaid Balances:

    • Outstanding payments for services or medication after multiple attempts to resolve the issue.

  4. Abuse or Misuse of Medication:

    • Evidence of controlled substances being misused, overused, or diverted to unauthorized individuals.

  5. Disruptive Behavior:

    • Inappropriate or abusive communication with staff or providers, or behavior that disrupts our ability to provide care.

  6. Legal or Safety Concerns:

    • Any situation that raises legal or safety issues, such as falsified medical records or illegal activities related to treatment.

Process for Provider-Initiated Cancellation

  1. Notification:

    • You will receive written notice detailing the reasons for discontinuation and the effective date of cancellation.

  2. Transition of Care:

    • We will provide a copy of your medical records upon request to ensure a smooth transition to another healthcare provider.

  3. Final Support:

    • If appropriate, we may offer guidance on alternative treatments or referrals to other providers.

Why These Policies Are in Place

Our cancellation policies are designed to maintain:

  • Safety: Ensuring that all patients receive care in a manner that prioritizes their health and well-being.

  • Integrity: Upholding the standards of medical practice by addressing non-compliance or misuse responsibly.
